On August 31, 2022, Sayed Haidar Al-Sitri, one of the prominent figures of the 1990s uprising and a distinguished religious and political personality in Bahrain, passed away at the age of 70.

The relationship between the two men lasted even after returning to Bahrain in 1992, before the Bahraini authorities deported them abroad due to their opposition to the ruling family's policies.

Sayed Haidar Al-Sitri, one of the most prominent 90s uprising symbols who demanded the return of parliamentary life, died on Wednesday (August 31, 2022).
