Scottish MP Kenny MacAskill proposed on Wednesday a motion in the UK Parliament condemning the Bahraini government arrest of prominent cleric Mohammad Sanqour.

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) revealed that 3.3 million GCC nationals still live in poverty.

BFHR called on the regime to immediately and unconditionally release Sheikh Mohammad Sanqour, considering "the arbitrary detention of a distinguished religious figure who exercised his right to freedom of opinion and expression and freedom of religion and belief portends a new wave of targeting religious freedoms."

The news of summoning the Imam of Friday prayer at the Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Diraz, Sheikh Mohammad Sanqour (Monday, May 22, 2023), was not something out of the ordinary or a routine procedure. In form and substance, the authorities meant every step in this process, and delivered their message clearly to whom it may concern.

Iraqi cleric Sayed Hashim Al-Haidari condemned the arrest of the Friday preacher and Imam of the Imam Sadiq Mosque in Diraz, the scholar Sheikh Mohammad Sanqour, by the Bahraini authorities.

Hussein Abdullah Abbas, a detainee in Jaw Central Prison, said that he cannot eat because he has completely lost his teeth and is waiting to finish his treatment after creating a denture for him, however, the authorities is depriving him of his appointment in the dental clinic.
