Bahrain’s First High Court of Appeal upheld a 10-year prison term issued against a prominent Al-Wefaq Society Official and former MP Sheikh Hassan Isa.

The Al-Wefaq National Islamic Society in Bahrain called for the immediate and unconditional release of Al-Wafaq’s prominent member and former MP Sheikh Hassan Isa.

The Fourth High Criminal Court adjourned on Monday (February 19, 2018) the case of opposition leader and Al-Wefaq Secretary-General Sheikh Ali Salman and two Al-Wefaq leaders Sheikh Hassan Sultan and Ali Al-Aswad over charge of “colluding with Qatar” until March 1, 2018.
