    A 34-year-old man, known was arrested in an ambush as he was exchanging a Kalashnikov assault rifle for 13 grams of the drug known as Ice (meth).

  • Case of 60 Suspects Accused of Smuggling Detainees from Jaw Prison Postponed

    The Fourth High Criminal Court decided to postpone a case that included 60 suspects, accused of smuggling prisoners from Jaw Central Prison, to October 17, in order to listen to the testimonies of the attesting witnesses.

  • 2 Defendants Accused of Training on Use of Weapons at Iran�s Revolutionary Guard Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison, Revoked of Citizenships

    The Fourth High Criminal Court sentenced two defendants to five years in prison and revoked their citizenships for training on firearms and explosives in one of Iran's Revolutionary Guard camps, and acquiring weapons without a license.

  • 5-Year Jail Term Handed down to Suspect, 10-Year Jail Term to 3 Others over Assembling, Burning Tires in Amman Street

    The Supreme Court of Appeal handed down a suspect out of 6 suspects, whose ages range between 15 and 24 years, 5-year jail term instead of 10 years, for being convicted along with others of burning tires in Amman Street and putting a hoax bomb.

  • 3-Year Jail Term against Suspect Accused of Assembly in Bani Jamra Upheld
    2017-10-04

    The Supreme Court of Appeal upheld a 3-year jail verdict against a suspect accused of assembling, committing riots, acquiring and hurling Molotov in Bani Jamra. The court, however, acquitted him of the charge of attacking a policeman.

  • Court Upholds Life Term Sentences against 3 Suspects Accused of Planting Bomb in Diraz to Target Policemen

    The Sixth High Appeals Court upheld sentencing 3 appellants to life in prison. The suspects are accused of attempted murder of 2 officers and 2 other policemen in Diraz, after alluring the policemen to a place where they planted a locally made bomb.

  • Appeals Court Sentences 3 Suspects Accused of Joining Al-Wafa Party to 7&10-Year Jail Term, Revokes their Citizenships
    2017-10-02

    The Sixth High Criminal Appeals Court upheld imprisoning a 25-year-old youth for 7 years and other two fugitive convicts sentenced to 10 years in prison over the charge of joining �Al-Wafa Party� and �recruiting individuals in it�, aiming at transferring money among its members to use it in subversive activities, protests and riots. The court also stripped the suspects of their citizenships and ordered the confiscation of seized items.

  • Court Upholds 3-Year Jail Term against Suspect Accused of Assembling and Burning Tires in Sadad

    The Sixth High Appeals Court upheld the imprisonment of a convict out of 8 convicts accused of assembly and arson in Sadad. The court sentenced him to 3 years in prison over the charges brought against him.

  • Appeals Court: 2&3- Year Jail Term to 12 Suspects Accused of Burning Tires in Al-Markh
    2017-09-29

    The Sixth High Appeals Court upheld verdicts issued against 12 suspects accused of setting fire to tires and assembling in Al-Markh. The first instance court had sentenced 5 suspects to 3 years in prison and 7 others, who are under 18 year, to 2 years, over the same charge.

  • Case of Pakistani who Stole Exchange Company Wearing Soldier Suit Adjourned until Oct. 26
    2017-09-20

    Bahrain�s first high criminal court adjourned the case of a Pakistani national who robbed an exchange company using a plastic pistol and wearing a stolen soldier suit until October 26, with his continued detention.

  • �Basta Group� Case Adjourned until October 30
    2017-09-20

    Court in Bahrain decided to adjourn deliberations on the �Basta Group� case, which includes 18 defendants who the authorities claim are affiliated to the Al-Wafaa Islamic Movement.

  • Case of 4 Suspects Accused in Youth Murder Case in Diraz Postponed to Oct. 17

    The Fourth High Criminal Court decided to postpone the case of 4 suspects accused of the murder of Ahmad Mousa, 18 years, in Diraz, due to torture, claiming he cooperates with the police, until October 17.

  • Case of 11 Accused of Smuggling Wanted Suspects to Iran Adjourned until October 30
    2017-09-19

    Bahrain�s Fourth High Criminal Court decided to adjourn the case of 11 defendants accused of attempting tio smuggle eight people wanted over political cases by sea to Iran until October 30, 2017.

  • Appeal of Accused in Policeman Murder Case in Karbabad Adjourned until October 9 for Pleading

    Bahrain�s Sixth High Criminal Court of Appeals adjourned the appeal of 10 out of 13 accused of the murder of a police officer in the Karbabad region until October 9, 2017 for observation and pleading by the appellants attorneys.

  • Appeals Court Refers Case of Policeman Murder to Supreme Council of Justice after Disconcertion
    2017-09-15

    The Supreme Court of Appeals referred the murder case of policeman Mahmoud Farid, in which the first suspect is sentenced to death penalty, 7 other suspects are sentenced to life in prison and 4 others to a 10-year jail term, to the Supreme Council of Justice, after falling in a disconcertion, since one of the commission members was among the Court commission that issued the ruling in a Court of first instance.

  • Court Upholds Fines against 3 Contractors for Announcing Unauthorized Haj Campaigns
    2017-09-12

    The Second High Criminal Court upheld punishing 3 convicts over two separate cases. The suspects announced on social media outlets taking pilgrims to Haj despite not having a permit to do so. The court fined each of the suspects 200 BD.

  • Case of Prominent HR Activist Nabeel Rajab Adjourned until Sept. 27
    2017-09-12

    The First High Criminal Court continued looking into the case of president of Bahrain Center for Human Rights and prominent human rights activist Nabeel Rajab, in which he is accused of criticizing Saudi Arabia via Twitter over Yemen war.
