    The Fourth High Criminal Court sentenced 7 suspected to 2 years in prison over hurling Molotov cocktails against a security armored vehicle in Sitra and causing injuries to a policeman. The court reduced the sentence of the suspects for being under 18 years old when committing the crime.

    The First High Criminal Court sentenced two Asian women (20 and 25 years) to one-year imprisonment and ordered to deport them, once they complete their jail term, for attacking the bodily integrity of a member from security forces during performing her job.

    The Minor Criminal "Traffic" court issued 6-month jail term against a Gulf national and 3-month jail term against another Gulf national of different nationality for their reckless driving in Al-Juffair. The court ordered to suspend all their driving licenses for 6 months.

  • Appeals Court Hands down 5-Year Prison Term to Suspect Accused of Burning ATM in Salmabad

    The High Appeals Court commuted a 7-year sentence issued against one of defendants over charge of setting fire to an ATM in Salmabad in 2014. The court commuted the sentence to 5 years and upheld fining him, along with the other suspects, for the damages caused to the machine.

    The High Appeals Court issued 5-year jail term against a defendant accused of taking part along others in attacking security forces and attacking the bodily integrity of a policeman while performing his job.

  • Appeals Court Issues 3-Year Jail Term against 3 Defendants Accused of Attacking Police Patrol
    2018-04-04

    The High Appeals Court commuted a sentence issued against 2 appellants who were convicted among 26 defendants of attacking police patrol, putting it to fire by using Molotov in a riot and assembly cases and acquiring Molotov, explosives and arms. The court commuted the 5-year jail term issued against them by the first instance court to 3 years. Meanwhile, it upheld the 3-year jail term against the 3rd appellant.
