    The Fourth High Criminal Court issued a 3-year jail term against a Bahraini accused of manufacturing a fake bomb with the help of his juvenile brother and putting it on public street in Jid Ali, and ordered the confiscation of the seized fake body.

  • Court Hands down 5-Year Jail Term to 5 Suspects and 1-Year Jail Term to Sixth over Case of Blasting Gas Cylinder and Burning Tires in A’ali

    The Fourth High Criminal law convicted 6 Bahrainis of blasting a gas cylinder and burning tires at Amphora Roundabout in A’ali. The court sentenced 5 suspects to 5 years in jail and sentenced the sixth one to one year in jail because he is under 18 years. It also added one-month jail term and 50 BD fine to the fourth suspect over acquiring a brass knuckles and ordered the confiscation of seized items.

    The Fourth High Criminal Court issued 7-year jail term against 3 suspects accused of blasting a gas cylinder, setting fire to tires in Damitsan and damaging a private car that was near the blast place. The court also ordered the confiscation of seized items.

    The Fifth High Criminal Appeals Court upheld 3-year jail term against an appellant convicted of hiding a suspect who escaped Dry Dock Prison, noting that the fugitive is sentenced to prison terms that reach 49 years over political cases. His total prison terms increased to 52 years in jail.

    The Fifth High Criminal Appeals Court rejected the appeal submitted by a policeman in Jaw Prison convicted of receiving bribery from an inmate whose family name is "Balawi” in return for providing him with a mobile phone and a ring. The suspect was sentenced to 3 years in jail and 200 BD fine. The court also ordered to expel him outside the country after finishing his prison term. The court also upheld the 3-year jail term against the inmate (second suspect).
