Bahrain Mirror (Exclusive): The Bahraini Appeals Court held its second hearing on Wednesday (October 14, 2015) of the trial of Bahraini opposition leader Sheikh Ali Salman and decided to adjourn it until November 12, 2015 in order to listen to the Public Prosecution's plea.

Sheikh Salman arrived to the court building at around 10 a.m. amid tight security measures and helicopters hovering. As the hearing commenced, the Public Prosecution talked without permission and when the defence panel lawyer Mohsen Al-Alawi spoke, the judge yelled at him and expelled him out of the courtroom.

The hearing lasted for almost two hours during which Al-Wefaq Secretary-General Sheikh Ali Salman entered his plea orally while the defence panel entered a written plea attached with documents.

During the plea, Sheikh Salman reiterated and stressed on carrying on peaceful political activism until achieving democratic transition, adding that his national duty requires him "to find solutions to the crisis through dialogue," confirming "the opposition's readiness to join a dialogue."

Concerning his trail, Sheikh Salman said: "The international community looked at my case, and the world gave its judgement after the retaliatory political charges were raised" and rejected all the charges raised against him.

Sheikh Salman's defence panel refused the charges raised against him and called for his releases, a request which was rejected by the court.
